Obituary of Pearl Olive Sears

The passing of Pearl Olive Sears of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Leslie Sears, occurred on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at York Care Centre.  Born on July 13, 1931 in Bass River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Margaret (Spencer) Dunlay.  Pearl worked for many years as a secretary with Central Guarantee and Booker Reality.  She enjoyed knitting in her spare time.    

 

Pearl is survived by her son, Michael Sears of Durham Bridge, NB; sister, Annie Moore of Fredericton, NB; and several nieces and nephews.


Besides her husband and parents, Pearl was predeceased by her infant daughter, Margaret; sisters, Gertie Lawson, Obie Dunlay and Jean Boyce; and brothers, Burt and Ralph Dunlay.

Visitation will take place from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 11-1 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm.  

Interment will take place for Leslie and Pearl in Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman, NB following the service.  For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
