Obituary of Alden Merdith Brewer

The passing of Alden Merdith Brewer of Zealand, NB, husband of the late Joyce Brewer, occurred on March 16, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on January 15, 1926 in Zealand, NB, he was a son of the late Rankin and Florence (Crouse) Brewer. He worked in construction as a heavy machinery operator. Alden was a World War II veteran.
Alden is survived by his children, Allan Brewer (Carole), Michael Brewer, Diane Wilson, Vicki Yerxa (Mike) all of Zealand; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Crouse of Zealand; his fury friends, Shadow and Winnie; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife of 53 years, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Loretta Brewer; great-grandson, Colby Brewer sisters, Faye Turner, Joyce Staples; brothers, Hubert Brewer Leonard Brewer; son-in-law, Larry Wilson; nephew, Lenny Brewer.
Visitation with COVID restrictions in place, will be at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stoneridge Road, Zealand on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Private Funeral Service by invitation only will be held at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 2 pm with Ven. John Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Zealand at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul's Cemetery Fund.
