Obituary of Judy McLeod

Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The passing of Judith "Judy" Anne McLeod of Fredericton, NB, occurred on March 8, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on September 23, 1944 in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Thelma (Sear) Trites. Judy worked as a payroll officer for the Provincial Department of Environment, she owned a beauty salon “Main Place Beauty Lounge” and in retirement worked for H&R Block. We reaped many benefits from her crafty and sewing talents; she made dresses for weddings, embroidered Christmas stockings for the kids, quilts and blankets, and saved the day with hems and zippers. She loved to follow current news events and cooking shows and the latest kitchen gadget was often bought twice, once for her and once for us. The kids already miss Nanny Cloud terribly but because she professed to know Jesus, we hope to see her again.

Judy is survived by her children, Catherine Carr (Kerry), Danny McLeod (Johanna), Mark McLeod (Debbie), Tammy Forrest (Timmy); grandchildren, Bradley, Kate, Jacob, Nolan, Mitchell, Hannah and Maggie; sisters-in-law, Bev Trites, Janet Trites, Marilyn Trites; nieces and nephews, Stephen, Kim, Jeff, Todd, Carrie, Lynda, David and David.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Paul, Peter and John Trites.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home. As per Judy's wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Lung Association or SPCA.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
