Obituary of Theresa Duffy

The passing of Irene "Theresa" Duffy of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Murdock Duffy, occurred on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at home.  Born on October 21, 1928 in Hampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late David and Margaret (Clark) Coleman.  Over many years, Theresa worked as a housekeeper for many families.  She was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4. 

Theresa is survived by her children, Wayne Duffy, Sterling Duffy, John Duffy (Marsha), Brian Duffy (Shelly), Mary Thibideau (Clifford), Lorraine Yeomans (Dick), Joyce Duffy (Sterling) and Linda Cormier, with whom she resided with for the last fourteen years; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was known as “Mother Theresa” to those who loved her. Theresa was the last surviving member of her immediate family; besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters and brothers.

Due to the current health situation, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.  A Graveside Service will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date.   For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
