Obituary of Alexander Gavin Pert

Please share a memory of Alexander to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Alexander Gavin Pert on Monday, January 11, 2021. Beloved son of Reid and Faye (Richardson), Alexander was born on June 16, 1995 in Fredericton, NB where he lived with his parents.

In addition to his parents, Alexander is survived by his Grandmother Lorna Pert (Reid), Grandfather Gavin Richardson, Aunts Carol Richardson (Darrin Knox), Heather Pugh (John), Heather Pert, Uncles Doug Richardson (Jenn), Brian Richardson, numerous cousins and great aunts and uncles. Alexander is predeceased by his paternal Grandfather W.A. “Sandy” Pert, maternal Grandmother Ethel Richardson (Stewart), and paternal Great Grandmother “GiGi” Glaidus Clark (MacDonald).

Alexander led a quiet and much loved life surrounded by family who doted on him. Even with the challenges he faced he did so with much laughter and joy. Nothing made him happier than a family member finding the key to his funny bone. His contagious laughter would spur on the efforts to keep him continuously entertained. His favourite past times were watching sports with his Dad, auto racing being the top of the list especially the “crash”, keeping Mum company in the kitchen when she baked, and listening to her sing his favourite songs over and over on his “Big Mac” recorder. Even in his short life, he brought so much joy to those around him.

A special thank you to Jane Arbeau and her exceptional caregiving to our beloved boy. We would also like to acknowledge and thank Alexander’s caregivers over the years for the wonderful contribution to his health and wellbeing.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Stan Cassidy Centre. https://www.stancassidy.ca/
