Obituary of Joanna Myra Gallagher

The passing of Joanna Myra Gallagher of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Ottie Gallagher occurred on Thursday November 12, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB.  Born on January 26, 1933 in Williamsburg, NB, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Abigail Kerr.

Joanna is survived by her daughter, Sherry Morton (Tom); sons, Harold (Karen) and Dale (Jill) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Ryan and Mike Gallagher, Matt and Nick Morton, Dwayne Wasson all of Fredericton, and Shawn Wasson of St. Stephen; five great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Julia) Kerr of Stanley, NB.  In addition to her parents and husband, Joanna was predeceased by daughter, Judy Wasson; infant son, Michael Gallagher; brothers, Lowell and Greg Kerr; grandson, Jody Wasson.

Due to the current health situation, A Memorial Service by invitation only will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolence may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
