Obituary of Shirley Geraldine Price

Please share a memory of Shirley to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The bittersweet day for Shirley Geraldine Price to be called home to be with her Lord and Saviour as well as to be at the side of her husband Howard has come. The passing of Shirley Geraldine Price, wife of the late Howard Eugene Price, formerly of Priceville, occurred on November 3, 2020 at Pine Grove Nursing Home where she was loved dearly by all the staff and was surrounded by the love of her family.  Born on December 26, 1934 in Priceville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ruby Price. Shirley previously worked as a home maker in the community and at Pond's Resort for many years as a well-respected employee and maid. She was known for her love of the Lord and her selfless love and devotion to her family.

Shirley is survived by her only  son, Kendall Price (Peggy) of Ludlow; special granddaughters, Jennifer Donovan (Kirk) of Fredericton and Giselle Welford (Allen) of Millville; great-grandchildren, Marcus, Konner, Olivia, Zoey, Veronica and Gabe; step-grandchildren, Jared McAllister (Patti), April McAllister, Landon McAllister (Tarah); step-great-grandchildren, Denver, Calee, Katherine, Mary, Charlotte and Emmah; sisters, Etta Parker (Fred) of Fredericton and Joyce DeLong (Lloyd) of Woodstock; brothers, Willard Price (Karen) of Fredericton and Vimmy Price (Marilyn) of Priceville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Logan (Norris).

She was known as Grammie Shirley to so many and anyone that entered her home felt the warmth of the love, kindness and compassion she exuded to all.  She was known for the most amazing homecooked meals, gathering her family and friends at the table to share food and fellowship and never letting a soul leave her home hungry. Shirley loved to take care of everyone that was closest to her and put everyone else’s needs before her own. She was hard working, soft hearted and faith filled. Shirley was the epitome of strong, selfless, appreciative, kind and faithful woman. Those that knew her and were dearest to her knew the unconditional agape love and kindness she exuded to everyone in her life.
