Many condolences to Bertie's family. I knew a her through my mother Lorraine Coffin. I also taught at Vincent Massey. She was such a dear. To Joyce and family: sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved Bertie. For both of us, she was our favourite teacher (what a way to start !) and as great as she was as a teacher, she was even better as a person. Everyone loved her! Gracious, classy, friendly and such a joy to be around. We vividly remember her serving treats at her birthday party a couple of years ago, and she wouldn't hear of relaxing and simply being the centre of attention that she should have been. Joyce and family, So sorry to hear of Bertie's passing. She was my favorite teacher in school and an adult I looked up to throughout my life. Our last meeting was at the Anglican Parish Hall a few years back and she was still the vibrant kind person I have remembered throughout the years. She had a wonderful life and you were so lucky to have her all these years. May she rest in Peace. Dave and Betty Ann Lord
