Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Walter Martin of Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on May 25, 1961 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Joan Ann (Leslie) Martin and the late Ambrose Joseph Martin.  Ed was a lifelong resident of Fredericton; he graduated from Fredericton High School and became the sole owner of A1 Brickwashing.  He fought hard to beat the cancer diagnosis, and worked at his business as long as he could, not wanting to give up.  His favourite pastime was gathering with family and friends to play cards.

In addition to his mother, Ed is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Robyn Martin and her mother, Lisa (Gallagher) Henderson; his special friend, Rachel Comeau and her son, Loghan; his brothers, Gerald and Michael Martin, Elmer Martin, Jr., Ambrose and Aaron Carroll; sisters, Bernice (Buff), Shirley (Ted), Dorine (Melvin) and Raven (Rob); several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his father, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Walter and Eliza (Armstrong) Leslie, Alex and Mary Jane (Mazerolle) Martin, Gordon and Lillian (Grant) Daye, and his mother’s companion, Elmer Martin.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 4-7 pm.  Due to the current health situation, the Funeral Service by invitation will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 1 pm with Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating.  Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
