Obituary of Frances Marie Gammon

Mum passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 7 at Hospice House in Fredericton. She was the spouse of the late R. Glayne Gammon. Born in Sandyville (Marysville) to Zellan Sherman & Jennie Ruby (Elder) Bunker, in 1934, she was one of 9 siblings. Mum was the granddaughter of Sherman & Margaret (Phillips) Bunker and Nathaniel & Eliza (Haines) Elder.

 

She is survived by sons, Bill (Ruth) of Durham Bridge, Brad (Shirley) of Kelowna, BC, and Todd (partner Karen Wyton) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; brother, Fraser (Diane) Bunker of Marysville; sister in law, Betty Haines of Fredericton; grandchildren, Jarratt (Kim), Travis (Stephen), Ara (Chris), Kristin (Jeff), Janine (Jamie) and Brittany; and 11 great grandchildren; special friends, Helen, Eddie & Carrie (Wiggins) Bartlett; many nieces and nephews and cousin, Mary Hogg.

 

Predeceased by son, David; siblings, Phillip, Fred, Annie (Ralph) Gill, Gertie (Bud) Ball, Harry (Sylvia), Mazie (Donald) Olsen & Murray; and brother in law, Fred Gammon.

 

Mum enjoyed her weekly bridge card games. In past years she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, VON foot clinic and knitted finger puppets for the children in the DECH.

 

There will be no visitation or funeral as per Mum’s request. Mum and Dad’s ashes will be interred at the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery, Marysville in the near future.
