Obituary of Edith Marie Flinn
The passing of Edith Marie Flinn of McLeod Hill, NB, wife of Wayne Dale Flinn, occurred on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on June 19, 1951 in Fredericton, NB. She was the daughter of the late Lillian (Newman) Webb and the late George (Pat) Webb.
In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by son, Peter Murray (Angela) of Fredericton, NB; daughters, Tanya Flinn (Brian Harris) of Lawrencetown, NS, and Shelley Thorne (Andrew) of South Winsloe, PE; sisters, Patricia Lounsbury (Zane) and Sherry Webb of Fredericton, NB; brothers, John Webb and Brian Webb (Carole Ann) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Tonia (Kenzie) MacPherson, Colton and Grace Giles, Laura and Katelyn Murray; great grandchild, Reese MacPherson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Webb; granddaughter, Sarah Murray and great grandchild, Olivia MacPherson.
Edith worked as an Administrative Services Assistant for the Province of NB. She was a member of the Nashwaaksis Lionettes Club and enjoyed her time in Florida, camping, dancing, gardening; she also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Due to the current heath situation the celebration of life by invitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Moore officiating. Interment will be held at Hillcrest United Church Cemetery, Stanley, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Portage Atlantic, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
