DAVIES, RUTH ELIZABETH

With heavy hearts, the family of Ruth Elizabeth Davies of Chatham, NB announce her peaceful passing on August 8, 2020 at Windsor Court Retirement Residence in Fredericton.  Born on June 21, 1937 in Moncton, NBshe was a daughter of the late Frank and Elmire (Boudreau) Casey. Ruth previously worked for Woolworth's. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, spending time with friends, curling and visits with family. Huguette and Guy Boudreau were like family to her - a true blessing - and brought much joy to her life.

Ruth was strong willed, very witty and kind hearted. Both her and Dan (husband) gave you their opinions without filtering. They taught us (her children) important values that we will cherish and pass down. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Ruth is survived by her children, Lori Davies (Jim Thompson) of Saint John, Dan Davies of Grimsby, ON, Kari Forrest (Ken) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Austin, Daniel and Madison; brother, Charles Casey of Ottawa, ON; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Dan; siblings, Olive, Rachel, Joseph and Eugene.
