Obituary of Annie Otty Hargrove

HARGROVE, ANNIE O.

 

Born in Douglas Harbour, NB on March 15, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Mae (London) and Thomas C. Earle.  Annie was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by her parents and husband Atlee; son, Floyd; brother, Douglas; sister, Pearl; granddaughter, Coleen Hargrove and great grandsons, Jason Carter and Josh Cogswell.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Mulder (Ray) of Maugerville, NB; son, Ron (Gloria) of Elgin, NB; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a great great grandson who she enjoyed and loved very much; also, several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

 

Annie taught in Public Schools of New Brunswick for 27 years, she was a member of the Teacher’s Association, Life Member of the Women’s Institute and the United Church Women of Lakeville Corner, an Honorary Member of Four Lakes Senior Citizens. She enjoyed the small rural community where she lived for seventy five years with her many friends and neighbours. She was a very special friend to Shelly Ateyo who spent countless hours visiting with mom during her long days and nights at the Nursing Home. A special Thank You to the staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home for the excellent care that they provided.

 

A Graveside Service will take place at the Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 2 pm with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating with social distancing practices in place.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
