Obituary of James Cameron Munn

The passing of James "Jimmy" Cameron Munn, husband of Mabel (Spencer) Munn of Taxis River, NB, occurred on July 11, 2020 at Hospice House Fredericton.  Born on January 8, 1940 in Taxis River, he was a son of the late Gordon and Ruth Munn. Jimmy was a woodsman who worked in all areas of the industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and volunteering at the Woodmen's Museum and Boiestown United Church.

 

In addition to his wife of 55 years, Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Sherry Greencorn (Mitchell) of Fredericton; sons, Kevin Munn (Charlotte) of Taxis River and Jamie Munn (Joline) of Parkers Ridge; grandchildren, Cameron, Kenneth, Dallas, Austin, Kyla and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Asher; sisters, Marjorie Munn of Fredericton, Lorna McKeown (Frank Kelly) of Grand Bay-Westfield; brothers, Otto Munn (Joline) of Parkers Ridge, Irvine Munn of Taxis River, Michael Munn (Judy) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Philip Munn (Velvet) of Astle; sisters-in-law, Greta Munn and Donna Hoard; several nieces and nephews.


Besides his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by an infant son, Joseph; brothers, Harold, Darrell and Thomas; great-nephew, Alex Marr.

 

Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Monday, July 13, 2020 from 11am - 1pm.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Private Funeral Service will be held at Miramichi Valley Chapel following the visitation with Rev. Brian Curtis officiating.  Interment will take place in Parkers Ridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
