Obituary of Sharon Margaret Merrithew

The passing of Sharon Margaret (Doak) Merrithew of Hanwell, NB, occurred on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on August 23, 1949 in Doaktown, NB, she was the youngest daughter of the late Sterling and Alice (Young) Doak. Sharon worked with Province NB for 34 years. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 Fredericton. She enjoyed playing cards, travelling, loved her dogs and spending time with family and friends.

Sharon is survived by her son Shawn Merrithew of Hanwell, NB; his father Edward Merrithew of Burtts Corner, NB; sisters Alma Lockhart of Hamilton, ON and Judy Doak-Crouse (Myles) of Hanwell, NB; granddaughter Chelsea; nieces Melissa Duval and Heather Lockhart.

Keeping with Sharon’s wishes there will be no services at this time. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
