Obituary of Clifford Joseph Gaudet

GAUDET, CLIFFORD JOSEPH "SONNY"

The passing of Clifford Joseph Gaudet of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his home.  Born on December 12, 1946 in Summerside, PE, he was the son of the late Marguerite (Gallant) and Clifford Gaudet.  

Sonny is survived by his loving partner, Yolande Todd;  his sons, Blaine Gaudet (Sue) of Riverview, Dale Gaudet of Kensington, daughter,  Nola Gaudet (Lonas) of Lincoln,  and their mother, Rena Gaudet;  brother,  Jim Gaudet of Toronto; sister, Florence Grosse (Andre) of Germany, sister, Betty Bertrand of Summerside; grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson, Cole and Lucy; extended family Nicole Paulin, Lisa Arbeau and Mike Regan.

Sonny was very connected to his community, helping and listening to others and lending support wherever they needed it.   He lived through his music and enjoyed playing with various musician circles and taking in the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival in Fredericton. While living in Summerside, he used to play for hospital patients in the Prince County Hospital. 

Due to the restriction of Covid-19, A Celebration of Sonny's Life will take place in Summerside, PE at a later date.   For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
