Obituary of Zola Noreen Gullison

The passing of Zola Noreen (Black) Gullison of Fredericton, NB, wife of Lester Gullison, occurred on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at York Care Centre.  Born on June 23, 1937 in Hayesville, NB,  she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Hattie (Munn) Black.  Zola always said she had a good life.  She loved her family, loved to travel.  Zola had a zest for life, loved to laugh and socialize.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Zola is survived by her sons, Laurie Gullison (Brenda) and Duane Gullison (Eda); 5 grandchildren, Scott, Laura Barr, Justin, Curtis and Kyle; 6 great grandchildren; four sisters, Gertie Fowler (John), Berniece Hunter (Garth), Hallie Cameron (Donnie) and Esther MacBean (Bruce); two brothers, Terry Black (Jeannie) and Gordon Black; several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Zola was predeceased by her brother, Walter Black (Pat).

Due to the current health situation, there will be no visitation.  A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Family would like to thank York Care Centre for their care and compassion shown to Zola.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
