Obituary of Theresa Jeanne Flynn

Please share a memory of Theresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The passing of Theresa Jeanne Flynn of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday, May 9th, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 7, 1942 in Boiestown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Montgomery and Roberta (Rice) McManus. Mom was very talented when it came to crafts, sewing, knitting, etc., especially if something was needed (curtains, costumes, whatever), she was always more than happy to provide it. In the early years when all 3 boys played hockey, she was their biggest fan and attended all of their games. Always remembered for watching in the stands, Mom and Dad sat together at the start of each game; however, by the end of the first period Dad would have moved due to Mom's exuberant cheering. Our Mom always welcomed all of our friends at any time of the day or night, often providing food and snacks to all. She loved all her neighbours and friends, in particular Anne MacNeill who remained very close. Special thanks to Bob and Elizabeth Walton, for taking care and providing nice meals for Mom and Dad from time to time. They were blessed with great neighbours.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 59 years John (Jack) Flynn; three sons, Daniel (Connie) of Island View, Ronald (Angela) of Cross Creek and Gary (Carla) of Killarney; five grandchildren, Spencer (Luke) MacInnis, Bailey Flynn, Connor Flynn, Callum Flynn and Clayton Flynn. Nana adored her grandchildren and was very proud of all their accomplishments, talking about them whenever she had the opportunity. She is also survived by her aunt Frances Miner; several special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her sister Mary Storey; two brothers, Monty and Jimmy McManus.

To the staff of 4SW of the DECRH, the family would like to express our gratitude for your care and compassion during Jeannes short stay. Your professionalism was a comfort.

Due to the health restrictions associated with COVID 19, the family will have a private graveside service at a later date. For those who wish to honor the memory of Jeanne Flynn, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be made through www.yorkfh.com
