Obituary of Rita Lillian Pelletier

The passing of Rita Lillian Pelletier of Fredericton, NB occurred on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB.  Born on February 27, 1935 in Edmundston, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marthe (Thibodeau) Fournier.  Rita was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church.  She enjoyed reading, music, movies and television.  Rita loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her children, Lisa Edgett of Fredericton, NB, Lena Malley (Joe) of Saint John, NB and Roger Pelletier of Fredericton, NB and their father, Henry Pelletier of Edmundston, NB; grandchildren, Reece (Brittany) and Rachelle Pelletier, Abby (Dan Johnston) and Robert Doucette, Kathryn and Natalie Edgett; brothers, Roch Fournier of Ottawa, ON, Rene Fournier (Marie) of Fredericton, NB and Real Fournier of Hartfort, CT; sisters in law, Yvonne Fournier of Moncton, NB and Gena Pelletier of Ontario; brothers in law, Alphe Cyr (Jeannine) of St. Basile, NB; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Rina Fournier and bother, Rino Fournier.

The Private Funeral Service with Public Webcasting (www.yorkfh.com) will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 11am with Father John Jennings officiating.   Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Fredericton, NB.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
