Our connection to Bobby was through his music. It was a real honour and pleasure for Jim to perform with him in Where Rivers Meet, and Marcy spent many joyous hours dancing to his music. We will miss his artistic talent, his ever present sense of humor and his kindness to both of us. He was a gentle soul who affected so many with his talent.

Dear Anne, Lori, Jason and family, We will remember Bobby in many ways, family and social functions, playing in different bands....., emailing me jokes, but especially his trademark, that big and infectious smile!
Anne, Rika and I remember calling you and Bobby late one afternoon a couple years ago saying that we'd just landed in town and that we need to stay out of site as we were in town for a surprise birthday party of a family member and would you meet us for dinner. You and Bobby quickly agreed, we met at a restaurant!
It was a great catch up, we never stopped laughing, nor did the stories in fact as the restaurant started to closed down around us, we carried our conversation out into the parking lot for more laughs and talk! Rika and I will remember that evening forever as one of our most treasured.
Bobby was a great person that made us all better people just to know and love him, he also made those of us that played music with him in different bands better musicians, a great talent who knew his music.
We send our deepest sympathy to all of you and will assure you that you are in our warmest thoughts and prayers today and in the days's to come. God Bless you all, Jack, Rika and family

Anne and family,
We were so sorry to hear that Bob, your husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend has passed away.
When I moved to Durham Bridge over 30 years ago I couldn't believe that the well known singer/songwriter Bob Cleghorn lived just up the road,. Bob was a great neighbour, generous with waves and smiles as he mowed, cleared brush, or did other yard work to keep your home looking so beautiful. And Anne, you were always there, his true helpmate whether it was in yard work, behind the scenes at music events, or drinking coffee at Tims. You know, on my daily walks, I definitely moved slower whenever Bob and the guys were practicing in your garage, The music was so nice to hear on summer evenings as I pushed a stroller or walked the dog. Bob took great pride in everything he did, from his music to how he hung your outdoor Christmas lights. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Bobby was my first cousin, and brother to Susan, Ricky and Billy Cleghorn; (Bobby's Mom, Pauline, was my Dad's sister)
My visits to Durham Bridge were not numerous but my they were fun....in no small part due to the welcoming arms of the Cleghorn family.
Bobby had such a quick smile, good natured mischievous manner and such a talent that drew so many near to him! Myself included!
Bobby and Anne were, in my eyes, such a wonderful couple....they had it together and were also having fun.
My sister already posted her memory about a trip we took to Durham Bridge that included a family reunion and a wedding....I very much remember dancing to music complements of Bobby and his band with so much delight along with everyone else in the room!!
I smile to those memories although my heart aches at the moment.
I have the Nashwaak album to bring us closer.
My deepest sympathy to Anne and the entire family and to all those friends that Bobby made along the way.
Memories never leave us.

Lori, Wilt, Andrew and Ethan,
No words could ever take away the sorrow and sadness you are having now. Bob was truly one in a million, always with a smile and usually a sassy remark to bring a smile to everyone else.
I trust all your cherished memories with him bring a smile to your face and your heart now and always.
Love and hugs Lori to you the family and your mom.

I believe I first met Bobby, my first cousin, when I was seven. My parents, Donald (Pauline’s brother) and Paula, and I drove to New Brunswick from St. Catharines, Ontario. Bobby was instantly likeable with an infectious, rather mischievous smile and the surprising gift of music. Within an hour of arriving at his family home in Durham Bridge, as we sat around the kitchen table, Bobby brought out his guitar and launched into an impeccable version of “I Walk the Line”. Wow, he had talent!
On another trip, many years later, my husband and I with our 2 1/2 year old son, and my sister, Trudy, visited during a family reunion, which was a wonderful time with music and a big picnic. There was also a wedding on the weekend and we all happily danced to Bobby and his band. Again, Bobby shared his love of music.
I also remember being impressed by his album “Along the Nashwaak” (I might be misremembering that name) and his Christmas ’45. I had a cousin who was a recording artist. Pretty awesome.
We haven’t seen Bobby or Anne for a long time but we’re in touch via Christmas letters and via emails. Bobby’s death was a shock and a reminder to us, who are around the same general age, of our own, fragile mortality. He will be missed by Anne, his children, and his family and friends but, no doubt, happy memories will keep him alive in their and our hearts.
Condolences from Judy (Turner-Blain) and Vince (Blain) and family

We are so saddened; for the family and for the Nashwaak community as we deal with the loss of Bob. We will all treasure such fond memories; his warmth, his sense of humour and that glint in his eyes. His music will live on. We will always appreciate that Bobby and Anne were among the first to offer friendship to us as newcomers to the community. Be strong and know the support, thoughts and prayers of so many others are with you at this time.
Sincerely,
Bonnie and Don MacNeil

Cheryl and I would like to send our most sincere condolences to Bob’s family and to all those who loved him so much. He was a wonderful man and will be so sadly missed by countless numbers of people. The joy he brought through his humour, his warm personality, and his wonderful musical skills has touched so many lives. From my earliest years living in Durham, I have always looked up to him as an inspiration and an example of how to be a musician. More recently, Cheryl and I loved seeing him and Anne on the golf course at Riverbend enjoying their love of the game we share. Just thinking of him will always bring a smile to our face and warmth in our hearts. Thank you to his entire family for sharing him with us over all these years...We are so grateful and share in your sense of loss. God bless...Brian and Cheryl
