My condolences to the Daniels family. My sadness for Patrick is eased a bit by the knowledge of his strong faith in God and his belief of everlasting life following death. Patrick had struggled with Health and mobility issues over the past number of years however even with the challenges he faced he always maintained a strong faith. In recent month, I was happy to know that he wanted to make a change in his life and had made a commitment to change his lifestyle and reconnect with his family within the next year.He had sought assistance to help reach this goal and was patiently waiting for the paperwork to be approved.
Irene Lefeuvre (Vice Principal) and I hired Patrick as an Educational Therapist for the A. P. Low SchooI in May of 1989. He began his duties at A.P.Low School that fall, eventually becoming a Labrador West district wide Educational Psychologist with additional duties in the Churchill Falls School. He had a very positive influence on our school and helped numerous students and their parents deal with a variety of learning disabilities and individual challenges. He was a very intelligent, sincere and caring man who was willing to go the extra way for teacher colleagues, students and parents. He loved his work at the school and was awarded a Canadian Medal of Honor for his work with the local Learning Disabilities Association in Labrador West. This,he recently told me, was the highlight of his career. During his years at the A.P.Low School there was always a teaching component to his duties. One such assignment was teaching Science enrichment and during his last year at the school he taught a unit on "Launching Rockets'. His final class that year was held in June, at the Labrador City Arena Soccer Field, with parents, and students in attendance. There were over ten rockets launched into the Labrador West Skies that day and the look of pride and accomplishment on Patrick's face as well as on his student's faces was a wonder to behold. I was so glad that I took the time that day to go up to the soccer field to see" Rocketman" and his students. PRICELESS!!!!
May you find peace and happiness,Patrick.

The Daniels Family,
It was very sad indeed to learn of the passing of Patrick. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I worked with Patrick at A.P. Low School in Labrador City and he always had a very kind and generous approach to his work. He really enjoyed his work and was always willing to share his expertise in guidance, computers, and science, to name a few. He had a broad field of knowledge in many subject areas and was always willing to share such. He certainly supported the school, his colleagues and students and made many contributions to school life. He was a good person and I told him that many times! We have many wonderful memories of our social and professional times together.
God Bless you Patrick, May you Rest In Peace.

My sincerest condolences to Patrick's family. Praying that with time, your present grief and sense of loss will be healed, and you find that it is replaced with only cherished memories, and an everlasting sense of hope and trust that he is just on the other side of the curtain, and will be ready to welcome and embrace all of us, who will also follow him one day into eternity and life everlasting.
