GAHAN, GLADYS ROSE

The passing of Gladys Rose Gahan of Lower St. Mary's, NB, wife of the late Ranald Gahan, occurred on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on June 17, 1938 in Skiff Lake, NB, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Vera (Dickinson) Cunningham. 

 

Gladys is survived by her son, Paul Gahan; grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley), Joel and Jonathan (Catherine); chosen grandson, Jeff; great grandson, Brexton; sister, Wilma Hagerman; and several nieces and nephews.


Besides her husband and parents, Gladys was predeceased by her grandson, Jordan Gahan; sisters, Frances and Elsie Cunningham, Margaret McAuley and Doris Demerchant; and brothers, Murray and Charles Cunningham.

 

Due to current health concerns, there will be no visitation or service at this time.  A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB at a later date.  Interment will take place in the Canterbury Cemetery, Canterbury, NB.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.  Special thanks to Leica Avery for all the love and support that you gave to Gladys, this support allowed Gladys to live safely in her home.  Also, special thank you to Dr. Bowden and Dr. Moore and nursing staff of 4NE at the DECH for the excellent care shown to Gladys in her final days.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
