STEWART, ELIZABETH ROSE

The passing of Elizabeth Rose Stewart of McNamee, NB occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Elizabeth was born on November 21, 1947, the daughter of the late Isabel (O'Donnell) Stewart & Reginald Stewart. Elizabeth was a Postmistress with Canada Post for many years, first in McNamee, NB, then in Ludlow, NB, where she worked until she retired.  Elizabeth loved to shop, bake and share meals with her family and friends. Elizabeth was a member of the McNamee Pentecostal Assembly.  She loved her church family and always had her purse well stocked with treats for all the children of the assembly, whom she greatly loved and was loved by them in return. Elizabeth was well known in the community because of her job as Postmistress and her church involvement and had many friends who admired her strength and faith in God during her health struggles over the past five years.

Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Luther Stewart (Kathy Ward); daughters, Rosilee Urquhart (Kevin) of Kars, NB and Susan Lyons (Jeremy) of McNamee, NB; son, Andrew Price (Darlene) of Tilley, NB; grandchildren, Tyler Weaver (Jacqueline Rose), Quinton Weaver, Ashley Johnston (Cole), Damian, Shelby & Shannon Urquhart; one great grand-daughter, Raelyn Johnston, who was the apple of her eye; nephew, Jason Stewart; niece, Katie Stewart and several great nieces & nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at DECRH for their kindness & care during her illness.  She had many chats with her nursing care team and was very appreciative of them. Also, a special thanks to the paramedics from the Boiestown and Doaktown area.
