My Sincere Condolences go out to Mary Ellen's Family, her Villa Family and to my Mother Greta who shared a room as well as her heart with Mary Ellen. Mary Ellen was such a precious little doll who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was truly a part of our family, as she and my Sister Gail were best friends for thirty years. My most treasured memory of Mary Ellen will be how she just lit up with such a beautiful smile when she saw you coming down the hall. She could hardly wait until you got to her to share a loving hug. Mary Ellen's family can rest in knowing that she received such wonderful care from the loving and caring staff at the Villa.
I will miss her beautiful smile forever.
Sincerely, Anna Spilman Rice

To Mary-Ellen's family: Mary-Ellen was a joy to have participate in our baking group at the Villa. Always a big smile and a hug when I arrived. She was pretty good at breaking the eggs for whatever we were baking. She also would add the various spices to the flour when we made molasses cookies, and the aromas would tickle her nose, and it was very evident if she liked the smell or not. She did like a fresh baked cookie. However she didn't like to hear the timer go off loudly to indicate that the cookies were done. She kept an eye on everything going on around her, and you only had to ask something like, "did you have a musical group in last night", and she would nod. Rest in peace Mary-Ellen. We will miss your shy smile.

So sorry for your loss. Mary Ellen was a part of our family. So many similarities to our beloved sister Gail. Steve and I will especially miss seeing her sweet little head poke up to see what we brought, or growl us if we haven't been in for a bit.
I like to think she is reunited with Gail, dancing around in the wildflowers, singing at the top of their lungs. RIP our Sweet Angel.
