CROUSE, PAULA YVONNE (GORMAN)
Paula Yvonne Crouse (Gorman), age 91, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at York Care Centre, Fredericton. Paula was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend. She was predeceased by her husband Lebaron (Bud), son John Stephen and daughter Nancy Christina; sisters, Marjorie, Ruth, Jackie, Maxine; brothers, Loren, Earl, Arden. She is survived by her children, Edwin Crouse, Noralee, British Columbia, Susan (Geoff) Rhodenizer, Lethbridge, Alberta, Diana (Garth) Carruthers, Fredericton, Eric (Ann-Marie) Crouse, Cookstown, Ontario; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Foster of Bowmanville, ON; brother, Carl Gorman of Yarmouth, NS.
Paula was born in Millville on March 16, 1928 to John and Della Gorman. She was the sixth of ten siblings. After graduating from Millville High School, she married her sweetheart, and they settled in the Fredericton area and raised their four children in Douglas. In the late 1970s, they moved to nearby Yoho Lake where they spent wonderful years enjoying their lake haven – B&P Sundown.
Paula had a passion for reading, walking, and swimming. She was often the first one in for a swim in the spring and the last out in late summer. She loved her family and was a great example of kindness to all with her gifts of hospitality and care for others. She was both peaceful and fun-loving and she will be deeply missed.
The family wish to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff for the care and compassion given to Paula at York Care Centre.
The Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton at 1 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. Personal condolences may be offered through www.york.com
