Obituary of Heather MacInnis
The passing of Heather Joyce MacInnis of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Harvey Station, NB, fiancée of Sean Campbell occurred on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Toronto General Hospital. She was born on June 23, 1986 in Newcastle, NB. Heather was a Dean’s List student of Religious Studies and Sociology at St. Thomas University. She was an avid spokesperson and actively involved in raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis and organ donation through Shinearama, Great Strides Walk, Catch a Breath Foundation and the Lung Association. Heather was involved in numerous other community and school activities and will be fondly remembered for supporting others facing similar struggles.
In addition to her fiancé, Heather is survived by her parents, Stacy MacInnis and Jeanne Doherty; sisters, Barbara MacInnis of Fredericton, NB and Bobbie Labrador of New Minas, NS; brother, Brian MacInnis (Katie Burke) of Pleasant Villa, NB; nephews, Jackson MacInnis and Kaden Kenny; niece, Camryn Kenny; biological family, mother, Kim O’Brien and brother, Eric O’Brien.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Smythe Street Cathedral on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor Chad Billington officiating. Interment will take place in Harvey Settlement Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Lung Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
