Obituary of Isobel Borland

The passing of Isobel Stevenson Borland (Dalgleish), wife of the late John Borland, occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Windsor Court, Fredericton, NB. Born November 03, 1911 at Strathlorne, NS, she was the daughter of the late James and Magdalene Dalgleish, She was also pre-deceased by brothers, John and David and sister, Madeline. Isobel is survived by her sons, David (Carmel) of Fredericton, NB and William (Elaine) of Rothesay, NB; granddaughters, Angela Sturgeon of Fredericton, NB, Jessica Borland of Edmonton, AB, Heather Traer and Ashley Traer of Rothesay, NB; grandson, Jack Borland of Rothesay, NB; great grandsons, Alex Borland of Fredericton, NB and Parker McKendry of Edmonton, AB; nephew, Ronald Dalgleish of Ste. Catherines, ON. Isobel was a member of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and was a Life Member of the Womens’ Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church of Canada. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T, Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Douglas Blaikie officiating. Reception to follow in Fireside Room. Interment will take place in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, PQ at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the individual’s choice.
