Obituary of Neil Brewer

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Neil William Brewer Jr. of Charters Settlement, NB on Saturday, April 06, 2013 at his home surrounded by loving family. Born April 02, 1967 he is the son of Mary Scholten and Neil Brewer (Helena Golec). In addition to his parents, Neil Jr. is survived by his sisters, Liedy Fox (Mark), Norine McGinn (Tom), Mari Brewer, and Tanya Gaudet (Pierre); grandmother Norma Brewer; nieces and nephews, Jena, Jared and Jill Fox, Sam, Alexandra and Christopher McGinn, Jacob and Joey Fletcher, and Nicholas and Marc Gaudet. Neil is also survived by many special uncles, aunts and cousins including Willy and Bea Scholten who will always hold a special place in Neil’s heart. Neil is predeceased by his grandparents Maria and Alexander Scholten and Bud William Brewer. Neil’s life was a shining example for all of us. He possessed an incredible will to live despite the adversity he faced. Neil loved his family and friends dearly, and he touched many lives. Neil was kind and generous of heart and spirit, and above all was always sensitive to others. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our family physician Dr. Andrea Hickey who has gone above and beyond in providing care, comfort and guidance to Neil Jr. and our family. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Monday, April 08, 2013 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 09, 2013 at 3pm with Father Bill Brennan as celebrant.
