Obituary of Richard Howland

Richard “Dick” Arthur Howland of Fredericton, NB, husband of Janet (Hood) Howland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 29, 1939 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Bruce Howland and Edna (Walsh) Howland. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Dick was a retired car salesman at Wood Motors. He was active in Racquetball and was a past president of Racquetball, NB. In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his son, Todd Howland and daughter, Kimberley Howland both of Fredericton, NB; two grandchildren, Bailley Howland-Hodgson and Brooklyn Howland-Hodgson; great grandson, Cayden Howland-Brewer; sister, Sylvia Dykeman of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Helen Rae Howland. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor Doug Hapeman officiating.
