Munn, Phyllis Joan The passing of Phyllis Joan (Connor) Munn of Fredericton, NB occurred peacefully on Friday, February 8th, 2013. Born on May 21, 1919 in Newick, Sussex, England, Phyllis was the daughter of Horace John and Leah Minnie (Strivens) Connor. Phyllis was a war bride, and in previous years a member of the Daughters of England. Phyllis is survived by her granddaughters, Kim (Cole) Finnamore (Doug Fraser) of Owen Sound, Ontario and Brenda (Cole) Letcher (Phil) of Edmonton, Alberta; special niece Diane Munn; special friend Normand McDonald; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Horace and Leah Connor, half-sister Gladys Fuller, her beloved daughter Barbara Cole and her husband Sherman. Kim and Brenda would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of York Care Centre for the phenomenal care they have provided Phyllis during her time there. Also a very special thanks to Normand McDonald for his devoted companionship and pastoral care during the past 10 years and especially in the days leading up to her death. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm at the York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB. Public committal to take place at a later date, to be announced.
