Sansom, Della Mae The passing of Della Mae Sansom, of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, wife of the late James Carmen Sansom occurred on Saturday, February 09, 2013 at the Nashwaak Villa Nursing Home. Born on December 02, 1917 in Taxis River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Jane (Cameron) Fairley. She was a teacher having taught in Boiestown, Lincoln and Stanley, after marrying Jim, Della supply taught for many years. Her commitment to community and family was evident in her tireless work in the family business, (M.M. Fairley’s General Store in Nashwaak Bridge), choir and UCW member and superintendent of the Sunday School at St. Luke’s United Church. She was known for her love of music and piano which started early in her life inspired by her sister Una and as a choir member at St. Paul’s United Church. Della is survived by her sons, J. Reg Sansom (Pat) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, J. Brent Sansom of Nashwaak Bridge, NB and Brock E Sansom (Shelley) of Bedford, NS; grandchildren, Andrew Sansom (Trisha) of Fredericton, NB, Scott Sansom (Chantal) of Ottawa, ON, Shawn Sansom (Lori) of Washington, DC, Matthew Sansom (Michelle) of Toronto, ON, Shannon Hay (Terry) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, Jill Carroll (Dave) of Waverley, NS, Vanessa Talmage (Darrin) of Waterloo, ON, and Katheryn Sansom of Germany; great grandchildren, Spencer Hay, Tyler Hay, Liam Sansom, Ruby Sansom, Flynn Carroll, Fischer Carroll, Emily Talmage, Megan Shirley and Kelly Malone. Besides her husband and parents, Della was predeceased by her sister, Una Margaret Fairley. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating. Interment will take place in the Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery at a later date.
