Obituary of Marion Burnett

The passing of Marion Donna Burnett of Cross Creek, NB, wife of the late Brian Burnett occurred on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 24, 1927 in Williamsburg, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lorne and Edith (MacMillan) Gallagher. Marion worked as a Clerk Typist for the Department of National Defense. She was a member of the Hillcrest United Church, Stanley, NB. Marion enjoyed quilting. Marion is survived by her daughter, Sharon Green (Laurence) of Cross Creek, NB; grandchildren, Keith Green (Jasmine Porter) of Fredericton, NB and Cheryl Green (Joel Richard) of Guelph, ON; great granddaughters, Kerstyn Richard and Keira Parker; sister, Lois MacLean (Robert) of Ottawa, ON; brothers, Mack Gallagher (Mariette) of Fredericton, NB and Lorne J. Gallagher (Joan) of Williamsburg, NB; sister-in-law, Ferne Gallagher of Williamsburg, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and second husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Horace Armitage; sisters, Ruth Flanagan and Frances Gallagher; brothers, Glen, Calvin and Claire Gallagher. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2 pm with Mr. Wally Ellis DLM officiating. Interment will take place in Hillcrest United Church Cemetery at a later date.
