Obituary of Jean Flowers
The passing of Jean Marsha Flowers of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late George H. Flowers occurred on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 8, 1948 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Holly and Pearl (Wooden) Phillips. She worked for Omni Janitorial Services. Jean enjoyed knitting and baking but most of all loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Jean is survived by her children, Pearl Parsons (Terry), Marsha Flowers (Mark) and George Flowers (Angie) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Courtney), Amanda, Andrew and Brianna; step grandchildren, Kyle and Ashley; one great granddaughter, Abagail; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Redolph, Hazen, Arthur, Kenny, Vernon and infant sister, Diane.
Although there will be no visitation by request; a Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Dorn Ridge Community Cemetery at a later date.
