Obituary of Yvonne DeLong

The passing of Yvonne “Bonnie” Carol DeLong of Fredericton, NB, wife of Lloyd DeLong occurred on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Thomas Hall Parkland Shannex, Fredericton, NB. Born on July 23, 1928 at Fowler’s Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Mabel A. (Mersereau) MacDonald. In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Linda Wishart (Robert) of Hampton, NB, Nancy DeLong (Mike) of Saint John, NB, Valerie Fowler (Owen) of Lower St. Mary’s, NB, Sandra Reichert of Winnipeg, MN, Brenda Bursey (Randy) of Fredericton, NB and Shirley VanWaes (Steven) of London, ON; sons, Daryl DeLong (Gwen) of Fredericton, NB and Robert DeLong of Alberta; ten grandchildren; one great grandson and sister, Miriam Love of French Lake, NB. She was predeceased by her parents, son, Douglas and sister, Jean Cochrane. Bonnie was a member of the Gibson Memorial United Church and actively involved in the U.C.W. She was also a life member of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Auxiliary. A Memorial Service will take place at Gibson Memorial United Church at a later date, followed by an interment at Sunny Bank Cemetery.
