Obituary of Hugh Morehouse

The passing of Hugh “Hughie” Bernard Morehouse of Upper Keswick, NB, husband of the late Edith (Gilbert) Morehouse occurred on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on November 10, 1932 in Zealand, NB, he was the son of the late Charles “Haskell” and Edith (Burtt) Morehouse. He was a woodsman and truck driver. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Anglican Church. Hughie enjoyed spending time with his horses. Hugh is survived by his son, Allan Pugh (Brenda) of Burtts Corner, NB; daughter, Debbie Yerxa of Burtts Corner, NB; grandchildren, Mistelle Boyne (Ben Hanson), Blake Boyne, Jennifer Hudgins (Aaron) and Mitchell Brewer (Jenna Hallihan); great grandchildren, Shelley Allyson “Ally” Brewer, Chloe and Kaelan Hudgins and Farrah Brewer; brother, Douglas Morehouse (Margaret) of Ontario; sister, Priscilla MacDonald of Saint John, NB; sister-in-law, Zula Morehouse of Zealand, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Hugh was predeceased by his daughters, Diane Morehouse and Shelley Boyne; brother, Charles Malcolm “Mac” Morehouse; two infant brothers, Philip and Arden; and brother-in-law, Douglas MacDonald. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 3 pm with Archdeacon John T. Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Zealand, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, New Brunswick Lung Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
