Obituary of Myrna Ackerson

The passing of Myrna Ruth Ackerson of Fredericton, NB occurred on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on January 26, 1939 at Maquapit Lake, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Jessie (Rogers) Thompson. She worked for many years for Dr. John Franklin and his family. Myrna loved to cook and had a passion for bowling. Myrna is survived by her special friend, Hilton Webb; sons, Neil Emberley (Christine) and Dwight Emberley (Nancy) all of Douglas Harbour, NB; daughter, Wendy Sanford (Dan) of Cogmagun, NS; grandchildren, Adam (Kelly), Jennifer (Steve), Jamie (Michelle), Kyle (Emily) and Julie (Daniel); great grandchildren, Evan, Austin, Gwen, Shaylen, Gauge, Gunar, Jayden and Zoey; sisters, Sandra Keilty (Bob) of Barkers Point, NB and Linda Kilfillen (Jeff) of Minto, NB; brothers, Wayne Thompson of Maquapit Lake, NB and Ellis Thompson (Marg) of Keswick Ridge, NB; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB.
