Obituary of Lloyd Waugh

The passing of Lloyd Allen Waugh, of Douglas, NB, husband of Evelyn (Hanson) Waugh, occurred on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 21, 1923 he was a son of the late Howard and Jean (Currie) Waugh. Lloyd had various occupations; he worked on the family farm, worked in lumber camps in the Millville area; picked up milk from various farms and delivered it local dairies. He later drove school bus for several years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39 in Millville and a member of the Orange Lodge. His passion outside of his family was working as a guide in the hunting and fishing camps. He was acknowledged for over 55 years of service in 2003 when he was inducted into the Miramichi Salmon Museum Hall of Fame. In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his children, Larry (Claudine), Danny (Lorraine), Fred (Cheryl), David (Kathy) and Peter (Kelly); also survived by Allen Waugh, Wendall (Pat) and Karen McNeil (Vernon); siblings, Mel (Jenny), Allison, Doug, Bill (Linda), Ann Miles and Mavis Kendrick (Billy); 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother-in-law, Ray Townsend; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Grace Waugh; siblings, Leone and Darrell; sister-in-law, Mary Waugh; brother-in-law, Eddie Miles. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Members of the Orange Lodge # 32 are asked to assemble at 6:30 pm Sunday for a Orange Lodge Memorial Service. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Peter Moore officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be Keith Pond, Doug Morehouse, Mannie, Marven and Millett Lyons and Randy Myshrall. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, Miramichi Salmon Museum or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
