Obituary of Hope Green
The passing of Hope Bernice Green of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Donald Biggar Green (1983) occurred on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 19, 1926 in St. Andrews, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hope and Helen (Swinton) MacQuoid. Hope was an avid bingo player, enjoyed bowling and was one of the early knitters for Cottage Craft.
Hope is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Green (Bill Yerxa), Sharon Randall (Bill) and Patricia Parrill (Ronald) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Kimberley and Christopher O’Leary, Nicole Carroll, Heather MacIsaac, Bonnie Murray and Troy Randall; eight great grandchildren; brother, Bill McQuoid (Joan) of Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law, Al Paisley of Toronto; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Terry, Adrian, Matthew LeBlanc and many bingo and bowling friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Connie Sweeney, Barbara Paisley and Ruth Logan.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society – Pancreatic Cancer.
