Obituary of Floyd O'Hara

The passing of Floyd Lawrence O’Hara, husband of the late Audrey Helen (Anderson) O’Hara occurred on Friday, November 02, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 26, 1932 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late Alton and Linna (Quigg) O’Hara. He attended the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Stanley. He worked as a woodsman. Floyd enjoyed the outdoors, music, hunting, hockey and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Floyd is survived by four daughters, Jennie Lee O’Hara (Matt) of Rexton, NB, Corinne Elizabeth Gallagher (Michael) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, Jacqueline Audrey Colford of English Settlement, NB and Sonya Lynne O’Hara (Peter Fullarton) of Red Rock, NB; one son, Laurie Eugene O’Hara (Theresa) of Cross Creek, NB; four grandsons, Michael Calvin Gallagher (Michelle), Carney Wade O’Hara, Jeffrey Leavitt Reid O’Hara and Brandon Thomas Colford; great grandchildren, Sam and Jackson Gallagher; nine brothers; three sisters; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Floyd was predeceased by one son, Carney Wade O’Hara; four brothers, Henry, Robert, Carl and Richard O’Hara. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, November 05, 2012 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 06, 2012 at 11am with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant. Pallbearers for the service will be Laurie and Carney O’Hara, Michael and Mike Gallagher, Brandon Colford and Peter Fullarton. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
