Obituary of George Anderson

After a five year struggle with health issues, George Robert Anderson, “Panny”, slipped away peacefully with his family at his side at home, on October 31, 2012. George leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce (O’Hara) Anderson. Born on August 17, 1936 in Kingsclear, NB, he was the son of the late Burns and Tillie (Regan) Anderson. Second to his family was his love of nature and working in the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cards, dancing, sports and music. He loved to play the harmonica during the kitchen sing songs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Donna Anderson-Breau (Peter); Velvet Anderson (Jamie); sons, Tony (Rachael) and Kevin. His grandchildren, Karmen Anderson, Darcy Anderson (Lacey), Colin and Shelby McAloon, and Baylee Anderson; he is also survived by five sisters, Mary O'Hara, Lillian Wall, Darlene Goodine, Neat (Linden) Green and Charlotte (Ron) Hay; three brothers, Melvin (Anne), Millen (Joan) and Kenny (Denise); Aunt Juanita (Neat) Regan; several cousins and many special nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sisters, Flora Douglas, Audrey O'Hara, Winnie Duguay and brothers, Thurman and Ardie Anderson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 7-9 pm. Please join us for a light hearted celebration of his life at York Funeral Home's T.
