Obituary of Arthur Hatfield

The passing of Arthur “Art” Edwin Hatfield of Mactaquac, NB, husband of Pauline (MacDonald) Hatfield occurred on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 18, 1931 in Regina, SK, he was the son of Harold and Helen (Close) Hatfield. He was a member of Mactaquac Baptist Church. Art was a Woodland Superintendant at Valley Forest Products for 28 years. He loved building boats. In addition to his wife, Art is survived by his children, Derek Hatfield (Patianne Verburgh) of Mahone Bay, NS and his children, Devin Hatfield (Tara), Aron Hatfield (Kanako), Sarah and Ben Hatfield, Hal Hatfield (Barbara); Tammy Hatfield (Kirk Howard) of Mactaquac, NB and her daughter, Rebecca McLellan; two great grandchildren, Rowan and Duran; nieces, Sheila Burton, Janice Chen, Nancy McGrath and Heather Donkin; nephews, Mark McGinnis and Peter Donkin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joyce McGinnis (Charlie); nephews, Chuck and Dwight. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Mactaquac Baptist Church on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will take place in Mactaquac Baptist Cemetery.
