Obituary of Mary MacKay

MacKay, Mary Ellen The passing of Mary Ellen MacKay, wife of the late Howard MacKay of Taxis River, NB occurred on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Parker’s Ridge, NB on March 15, 1934, Ellen was the daughter of the late James and Pearl (MacLellan) Stewart. She was a member of the Taxis River Community Club. She loved the time spent with her family and friends. Ellen is survived by one daughter, Brenda Storey of Taxis River, NB; four sons, Wayne (Cyrille) of Dieppe, NB, Brian (Sonya) of Hayesville, NB, Mark (Katie) of Fredericton, NB and Brent (Kim) of Lincoln, NB; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Darrell Stewart of MacKenzie, BC; four daughters-in-law, Marlene, Barbara, Leah and Margo; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Ellen was predeceased by a son-in-law, Bradley Storey. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating. Pallbearers are Joel Lyons, Kristen, Michael, Kent, Zachary and Roger MacKay. Interment will be in the Parker’s Ridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
