Obituary of John Hiscock

The passing of John Royston Hiscock of English Settlement, NB, husband of Margaret (Lomax) Hiscock, occurred on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 2, 1951 in Bournemouth, England, he was the son of the late Albert and Ivy (White) Hiscock. John loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons, he got much enjoyment out of watching Luke running and playing around, and watching Garrett grow and learn. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, carpentry, golfing, Nascar, spending time with his sons-in-law and his “66 Chev. John was known for his strong and determined personality and his kind heart.
In addition to his loving wife, John is survived by his two strong daughters, Michelle (Joshua) Ryan and Stephanie (Nick) Seymour; two grandsons, Luke Ryan and Garrett Seymour, who were his pride and joy; sisters, Janet (Jerry) Odlum and Sue (Bob) Hook; brothers, Robin (Carmen) and Peter (Beryl) Hiscock; father-in-law, John Lomax; brothers-in-law, Irvine (Diane) Humble and Bob (Bryna) Lomax; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special friends, Bruce and Wendy Hennigar. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Derek; sister, Ann; mother-in-law, Ella Lomax and brother-in-law, Eldon Humble.
A Celebration of John’s Life will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Chapel on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 1pm until time of the Memorial Service at 2 pm with Mr. Wally Ellis DLM officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be Joshua Ryan, Nick Seymour, Joshua Lomax, Michael Lomax, Clinton Nodwell and Trevor Menard. Interment will take place in Hillcrest United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association; the IWK Children’s Wish Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
