Squire, Leslie Gerald The passing of Leslie Gerald Squire, husband of the late June (Clancy) Squire of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 1, 1938 in Ekfrid, ON, he was the son of the late Harold and Kathleen (Young) Squire. Leslie served with the Royal Canadian Navy and later retired as a Stationary Engineer with the Province of New Brunswick. He was a member of the Fredericton Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4 and a member of the Nashwaak ATV Club. In addition to his girlfriend, Rita Durette, Leslie is survived by his son, Alan Squire (Jolene) of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Pat Michaud (Yvon) of Fredericton, NB; four brothers, Clayton Squire (Annetta), David Squire (Sherry), Alvin Squire (Diane) and Jim Squire all of Ontario; six grandchildren, Ericka (Mike Maillais) Squire, Brad Squire, Jeff Michaud, Matthew Michaud, Joanne (Denny McLaughlin) Beck and Jody (Johnny) Brown; one great-grandchild, Hayden; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Brown. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Private Graveside Service will take place at the Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Yoho Scout Reserve (C/O Rivorton Area Scouts Canada).
