Brodie, Cicely Kerr
The passing of Cicely Kerr (Skelton) Brodie of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Frederick Brodie, occurred on Sunday, September 02, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 22, 1914 in Montreal, QC, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Muriel (Scrimger) Skelton. Cicely was an established painter, seamstress and knitter.
Cicely is survived by her daughter, Diane Harding (Don) of Burtts Corner, NB; son, Neil Brodie (Flo) of Browns Flat, NB; grandchildren, Cedella Beazley, Mady Brodie, Cicely Rathmell, Robert Brodie, Luke Harding and Caitlin Harding; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Winifred Kennedy; brother, Eric Skelton.
There will be no visitation by request. A Graveside Service will be held in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
