Obituary of Christopher Bird

Born August 12, 1959 - Died September 7, 2011 Chris was the youngest son of the late Robert (Bob) and Marion Bird. He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter, Kerrie, his brothers, Pat (Heather), Jim (Wendy) and Charlie (Mary Lou), nieces, Sarah, Rachel, Ashley, Emily, Kate (Matt Hunter) and Lauren Bird, nephews, John and Thomas Bird and numerous aunts and uncles. Chris lived almost all of his life in Fredericton. He attended Fredericton High School and Devon Park Christian School where he graduated in 1981. He loved sports of all kind but took a keen interest in baseball and hockey. He spent many hours at the rink or on the ball field, playing, cheering, helping or socializing with people who liked to do the same. Over the years, Chris attended Devon Park Baptist Church and Greenwood Drive Baptist Church. Chris had a warm outgoing personality that generated numerous lifelong friendships for him. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family. There will be no visitation. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Drive Baptist Church, Barker’s Point, NB, with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating.
