Obituary of John Booker

The passing of John Ernest Booker, of Hamtown Corner, NB, occurred on November 27, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 31, 1950 in Truro, NS, he was a son of the late John and Lois (Ross) Booker. John was an avid outdoorsman who liked hunting and fishing and will be remembered as someone who was excellent at fly tying, he also enjoyed cooking. John is survived by his sister, Ann Nelson of Dartmouth, NS; nephews, Harding Nelson (Emilie) of Ottawa, ON and Leander Nelson of Brookfield, NS; extended family, Lisa Condley (John Powell) and their son, Alexander Powell; close friends, Leo Hickey, Stan Campbell, Royce Gorham and Ann Merritt ; numerous cousins. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon Macleod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Ext. Cemetery.
