Obituary of Joan Bell

Joan Elsie Bell, wife of Donald E. Bell, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 12, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 26, 1927 in London, England, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Mayne. Joan enjoyed life to the fullest and had a love for animals and nature. She was an expert duplicate bridge player. She was a wonderful mother and wife who will be missed. Joan was an open-minded lady who gave unconditional love to all. Exceptionally tolerant and accepting, she touched everyone she met. Joan is survived by her husband and three sons, Rodney (Joanne Sembinelli) of Calgary, AB, Shawn (Ivana Belloni) of Montreal, PQ and Jay (Tracy Gravier-Bell) of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Conner, Zoe and Pierce; brother, Harry Mayne (Marion) of Chilliwack; sister-in-law, Heather Alexander (Benedict) of Stephenville, NF; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lola Thornton. A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11 am with Father Ian Wetmore officiating.
