Obituary of Loretta Richard

Richard, Loretta Pearl The passing of Loretta Pearl Richard of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late John Richard, occurred on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 17, 1939 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Carpenter) Chisholm. Loretta was a member of the St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church; she was also a member of the Y’s Menettes, “The Gourmet Club” and the “Coffee Ladies”. Loretta will be fondly remembered for the love and time she gave to family and friends, her infectious laughter and her great sense of humour. Birthdays and Holidays were made more special because of all the extra efforts and because she enjoyed them so much! Loretta is survived by her daughter, Karen Richard (Greg MacPherson) of Fredericton, NB and their children, Connor, Dara and Maggie MacPherson; two sons, Dana Richard (Brenda) of Riverview, NB and their children, Andrew and Luke Richard; and Kevin Richard of Fredericton, NB; sister, Mary Dahlman (Lars) of Calgary, AB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Corrine Chisholm and Judy Moore and brother, James Chisholm. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11 am. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be Muriel Gorman, Jean Brown, Georgette Roy, Louise McCleave, Marg Demerson, Ruth Fowler, Dorothy Johnson and Joyce Foster. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
