Obituary of Gerald "Jake" McLean

The passing of Gerald “Jake” A. McLean formerly of Burtts Corner, NB occurred on Wednesday, August 08, 2012 at the Parkland Shannex, Thomas Hall in Fredericton. He was born in Burtts Corner, March 04, 1936 to the late Adrian Lee McLean and Ella Mae Urquhart. He worked for Hillcrest Farms in Douglas, The Keswick Ridge Apple Exchange and True Foam Ltd. As his health declined he sold produce door to door. Gerald was a member of the Nashwaak Village United Baptist Church and the Nashwaak Valley Golden Age Club. He enjoyed Bingo, card games and puzzles. His sociable personality won him many friendships. Gerald will be missed by his sister, Anita Cass (David) of Burtts Corner, NB; brother, Eldon MacLean (Kathy) of Westfield, NB; four nieces and three nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 10 to 11 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 am with Pastor Hal Babcock officiating. Interment will take place in the Upper Keswick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to the Nashwaak Valley United Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
